Living By Faith: Galatians 5:1-15

In Chapter 5, Paul takes his readers on a tour of two vineyards: "Justification by Faith" versus "Legalism". And Paul picks some of the fruit from these trees in order to warn his readers and to woo them back to a simple saving faith in Jesus Christ.

 

The Tale of Two Trees:

 

1. The Fruit of Legalism (5:2-4, 15)

1. Christ Sidelined and You are Severed (v. 2, 4)
2. Burdened Like a Beast (v. 3)
3. Destructive Dissension (v. 15)

2. Fruit of Faith (5:5-6, 13-15)

1. A Heavenly Hope of Righteousness (v. 5)
2. A Freedom to Love that Fulfills the Law (v. 13-15)
